Who is this course designed for?
This course is for parents, guardians, teachers, youth mentors, social workers, and anyone involved in raising or supporting boys from infancy to adulthood.
Does the course apply to boys in Botswana only?
While examples are tailored to the Botswana context, the principles and lessons apply broadly across African families and other cultural settings.
At what age should I start applying these lessons?
The course starts with early childhood (0–6 years) and progresses through adolescence. It’s never too early or too late to start implementing positive strategies.
What if I’m not the boy’s biological father — can I still make an impact?
Yes! Boys benefit from any consistent, caring male role model — including uncles, stepfathers, teachers, coaches, or community leaders.
How do I help a boy who refuses to talk about his feelings?
Be patient, consistent, and emotionally available. Use active listening, don’t force conversations, and create safe, judgment-free spaces.
What if I didn’t have a good role model growing up — can I still be one?
Absolutely. You can break the cycle and become the role model you never had. This course provides tools to guide you.
How do I address toxic behaviors without shaming the boy?
Focus on correcting the behavior, not attacking the child. Use calm discipline, explain the impact of actions, and offer better alternatives.
Does this course include content on puberty, peer pressure, and risky behavior?
Yes. The course covers adolescence in depth, including lessons on puberty, emotional health, peer influence, discipline, and consent.
Are there any certificates provided after completion?
Yes. A certificate of completion will be issued to learners who complete all modules and quizzes.
Can I use this course to run workshops or community programs?
Yes! The course is ideal for school programs, youth groups, or parenting workshops. You may adapt the content to your local setting with proper credit.
